We designed LG Staff Picks page, featuring
hand-picked product recommendations
from LG employees, to offer a more curated
and personalized shopping experience.
The LG.com’s existing product listing experience lacked
the human context and storytelling that could help
users connect with products on a more personal level.
Opportunity
It was a great opportunity to bring real employee voices
into the shopping experience. By blending curated staff
picks with engaging storytelling and interactive elements,
we could make product discovery more personal,
trustworthy, and enjoyable.

To better inform our design approach, we identified two key user
personas based on typical LG.com shopper behavior.


Solution
Design Choice
Feature 01 – Hero Banners
Designed bold, visually engaging hero banners that set the tone
for the page, introducing Staff Picks as a distinct editorial
layer within LG.com.
Feature 02 – Visual Selector
Added a visual selector beneath the hero, featuring illustrated
avatars of LG staff. This allowed users to filter products by
employee in a single click, allowing for quick exploration.
Feature 03 – Quote Cards
Each staff recommendation was presented in a quote card
included a custom illustration, a short personal quote, and
a direct link to the product.

Takeaway
Designing for personality
This project helped me think creatively about how to bring warmth and
character into a digital shopping experience without disrupting usability.
Humanizing product discovery
By integrating staff quotes and illustrations, I saw how storytelling can
increase trust and connection between users and products.
